Pawling’s Farm at Valley Forge National Historic Park lies on the north side of the Schuylkill River separating it from the auto tours and monuments of the south side. The farm provided food stores, storage, and pasturage for Washington’s Continental Army during the harsh winter of 1777-1778. The large stone barn remains along with the ruins of the house and an outbuilding.
