The large brick arch and smaller ones behind it are the most substantial remnants of what was once a large, sprawling factory complex named the Harrisburg Nail Works. It sat on the shores of the Conodoguinet Creek in West Fairview, PA. The factory went out of business in the 1890’s after the invention of wire nail made cut nails obsolete.
