The Trolley Graveyard lies in the woods of western Pennsylvania.  It has been the project of one man, Ed Metka, a retired civil engineer.  In reality it’s not really a graveyard and nor is it abandoned; it is a parts yard for his Vintage Electric Streetcar Company.  The restorable trolleys are housed indoors in a warehouse, while the rest of them rust away on the mile of track behind the shop.  The collection is of mostly World War II era streetcars with the earliest dating back to 1919.  The trolleys come from all around the United States: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Boston and Kansas City.
